MSU OR U OF M? THE YORKSHIRE OR THE DEVONSHIRE?

​I was in my daughter’s first grade class yesterday volunteering.  I noticed at one of the tables in the classroom (it was a table full of girls) they were having a debate regarding what school is better, U of M or MSU.  Yes Rick’s daughter was a part of this debate.  These are 6 and 7 year old girls and they each had very strong opinions on which school was better.

I found it quite humorous and refreshing that they were discussing these two colleges with such passion while they were working in class.  I am a CMU graduate along with my husband, so we are not the reason Maddie likes a specific school.  The thing I found so entertaining was that the girls who liked there particular school could not be swayed, even when other students put their “two cents in”.  Hmmm, is this a little how women go about choosing a new home or what community they want to live in?  I know I did.  I had specific requirements for our home and that was that.

Now whether you are a Spartan or a Wolverine is up to you.  However, building a new home is major undertaking.  I believe this group of young ladies will do just fine when it comes to making home buying choices in the very distant future (I’m not ready for Maddie to grow up that fast).
