Saturday was a crisp fall day, the perfect day for a corn roast at The Hills of Loon Lake with homeowners in this Commerce Township community, and our Twin Pines home owners in Lyon Township as well. We are so happy that many of our friends and customers came out to enjoy the day with us. It was just our way of saying thank you to those we know and have built homes for and introduce ourselves to the people in the community we did not know. We had a bounce house, fresh sweet corn off the grill, hot dogs, donuts from the cider mill, pumpkin decorating for the kids and cider. Rick Elkow, owner of the company, also gave hay rides to all who visited us. Don’t worry he is an experienced tractor driver. Before becoming a home builder Rick put himself through college working on the family farm in New Hudson. We were also greeted in the neighborhood by the Commerce Fire Department, who graciously gave out hats to kids of all ages and let the children check out the fire truck, thank you. All in all it was a wonderful day for us to meet new friends and let them know how thankful we are to be building new homes in Southeast Michigan. Without our customers support, we would not have been doing this successfully since 1996, thank you. We have not forgotten what Wendy, a resident suggested, that we do a party on a quarterly basis, or the amazing support from our friendly community neighbor Lori the entire day. We will definitely make this an annual party and look for other events and ways Echelon Homes wants to say thank you to our valued customers and friends in the community. Article by: Jennifer Elkow
